Welcome, New and Returning Falcon Families!

 

For over 60 years the PTSA has worked with CVHS to provide assistance in creating an environment where students can learn, volunteer, explore their creativity and thrive.  Join us in both our Membership and Donation Drives. The cost of membership is $10 and we are asking every family to donate $50 per student attending CVHS.

 

Signing up for a PTSA membership and making your donations is easier than ever:

  • Complete a membership form and return it with payment to CV High’s main office.

 

BENEFITS of membership for:

Students:

  • Eligibility to apply for local and state PTSA scholarships. Membership cards may be picked up from the front office. (Students must be members by October 1, 2024 to be eligible for CV High PTSA’s scholarship award.)
  • Eligibility to participate in the PTA Reflections Arts Program, with recognition at CV High, local community, state, and national levels in these arts categories: Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts.
  • Eligibility to participate in the Student Delegation of the two-day California State PTA Legislation Conference in Sacramento, speaking with state legislators and learning about PTA/PTSA advocacy
  • Student leadership positions within PTSA
  • Opportunity to be involved in decisions affecting campus life and academic support
  • PTSA membership may be noted on college and scholarship applications

 

Adults:

  • Opportunities to participate in advocacy for students
  • Leadership opportunities and policy-making at the local, district, and state level for PTSA
  • Perks and discounts for PTA members (learn more online at CAPTA and PTA)

 

  

Donations provide funding for programs, clubs and student advocacy: 

  • Additional educational programs for parents and students
  • Scholarships
  • Reflections Arts Program
  • Red Ribbon Week
  • Senior Reflections/Celebration Event
  • Staff Appreciation Events
  • Student Delegation to the California State PTA Legislation Conference in Sacramento
  • School-Wide Student Betterment
  • Quad Refreshment Days
