Scholarship Workshop, December 6. Cal State LA

Greetings, 

You're invited to attend College Prep Saturday, on Saturday, December 6, 2025, 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM PT. 

College Prep Saturday, brought to you by the Youth Leadership Consortium, is a FREE, bilingual, half-day program hosted on a college campus, designed to help students (6th – 12th grade), and their parents, prepare, plan, and pay for a college education! Students and parents of all racial and ethnic backgrounds are encouraged to attend. 

College Prep Saturday breakout sessions are tailored to address the needs of all participants. We will have the following breakout sessions: 

• Students in 6th - 8th grade
• Students in 9th - 10th grade
• Students in 11th - 12th grade
• Parents (English)
• Parents (Spanish)

Presentations will be delivered by subject-matter experts on the following topics: 

• Preparing for and successfully applying to 4-year colleges 
• Affording college: financial aid and scholarship opportunities 
• Understanding the real cost of a college education 
• Maximizing the college experience 
• Successfully transitioning to a career after college
