Falcons, Let’s Finish the Semester Strong!
As we head into the final stretch of the semester, I want to encourage all of our students to stay focused, take care of themselves, and finish strong. Remember, you are not alone, CVHS has many opportunities to support both your academic success and your well-being.
We recently had a very successful No Place for Hate lesson, where all of our students watched a TED Talk by Justin Jones. He encouraged us to learn more about one another and not to take the exit on people we don’t know. Our students engaged thoughtfully in the activities, and I am excited to include some photos below of the posters they created during the lesson.
Please take a moment to review the WellNEST information below, which offers resources for mental health, stress management, and student support. We also have free tutoring through the Science & Medicine Academy, and many teachers offer office hours for extra academic help. These supports are here for you—please take advantage of them as we wrap up the semester.
Congratulations to the CV Cross Country Team who ran Saturday morning at Mt. Sac for CIF-SS Finals! The Girls team finished 9th and the Boys finished 3rd in CIF-SS Division 1. The Boys will go on to run again next Saturday in Fresno at the CIF State Meet. Way to go Falcons!
Congratulations to the CV Marching Band who won back-to-back CSBC Division 5A Championships Saturday evening! We are super proud of the continued success this program has.
As we approach Thanksgiving Break, I want to wish all of our students and families a safe, restful, and joyful holiday. Practicing gratitude can help lower anxiety and improve overall well-being, and this season is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the positives in our lives.
I am truly thankful for each and every one of you. Thank you for your hard work, your resilience, and the positive energy you bring to CVHS each day.
It is a great day to be a FALCON! 💙🦅

How are you going to pay for college?????
All students and parents should complete the FAFSA or CADAA to help qualify for grants or loans for Community College, Trade/Tech, or Universities.
Students need to search for private scholarships and be mindful of application deadlines throughout the year. Scholarship sites like scholarships.com, fastweb.com, or BigFuture have additional resources.
CVHS Community Based Scholarships and applications will be posted throughout the year and the District spreadsheet highlights more. In addition, all seniors were invited to a Scholarship Google Classroom for easy access to the information and links. Parents should encourage their seniors to apply to as many opportunities as possible.
