Message from the Assistant Principal's

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to our amazing Falcon teachers! We want to express our deepest gratitude for your unwavering dedication, hard work, and the positive impact you make on our students' lives every single day. We also want to send a huge, heartfelt thank you to our wonderful PTSA and the Korean Parents Association for spoiling our teachers with a delicious lunch this week. Your generosity, thoughtfulness, and continued support of our school community mean the world to us and truly made this week extra special!

Additionally, we want to recognize that last Friday was Administrative Professionals Day. We are incredibly grateful for the daily help and invaluable assistance provided by our wonderful classified clerks. You are the heartbeat of our front office, and we deeply appreciate everything you do to keep our school running so smoothly!

It is a GREAT week to be a Falcon!

Falcons Flying

It has been an incredibly busy and successful week here at CV! Here is a recap of everything we have been up to:
  • Dance Showcase: This was once again a spectacular event where everyone was in awe of the talent on stage. We celebrated our seniors and were thrilled to have Rosemont's Dance team join us, giving us an exciting glimpse of the future talent headed to CV.
  • CV Choir: On Friday, our choir had the amazing opportunity to learn and perform at the Disney Concert Hall, enjoying a beautiful day of music and collaboration with invited choirs from all over Los Angeles.
  • Robotics: Our team is currently in Houston competing at the Worlds competition! They are up for the highly esteemed Impact Award and even had the chance to meet up with our sister team from Switzerland.
  • Athletics Update: Our athletes continue to shine! Boys Tennis, Track, and Softball were all crowned League Champions, and Baseball celebrated a fantastic Senior Night. To top it all off, Boys Volleyball won their first two CIF playoff rounds in three straight sets—an amazing feat—and are heading to the third round next Wednesday!
  • Adelante, Latinos: We celebrated academic excellence and community at this wonderful event hosted at Hoover High School, honoring our Latino and Hispanic seniors who are graduating with a 3.0 GPA or better.
  • Mental Health Awareness Week: We had an amazing week dedicated to mental wellness! Our students engaged in many different activities organized by our Peer Support Students and staff, and we were so fortunate to have several wonderful community resources come to campus to offer their support and help to our students.

School Internet Access Update

Dear Glendale Unified Parents/Guardians and Students,

Keeping students safe online and focused on learning is one of our top priorities. This week, we updated our internet filter on district-issued devices and accounts. This filter works on district Chromebooks, computers, and Google/Chrome accounts.

You may notice that some websites, such as Wikipedia, YouTube, social media, and some image searches, are blocked. These changes help make sure students use safe and reliable resources for schoolwork. Alternative websites include but are not limited to: britannica.comschool.eb.com, and kiddle.co.

Teachers collaborate with our Educational Technology and Information Services team to review websites and determine whether they should be made accessible to students across the district for educational purposes. If you come across a site necessary for class that is currently blocked, please inform your teacher.

We are here to support you and your education.
