Parents and students can talk to their CV counselor about additional personal/social support or can request support services on their own.

 

The Child Mind Institute is an independent, national nonprofit dedicated to transforming the lives of children and families struggling with mental health and learning disorders. They release a video series each May titled #MyYoungerSelf with a goal to eliminate stigma by showing children and adolescents that there is a bright future if they open up and ask for help.

Happify The app uses brain-training mechanics to help you relieve stress.

Mindfulness is a simple, basic mindfulness app that allows you to set reminders for meditations, body scans, and more.

Calm has guided relaxation sessions, meditation music, and premium programs that focus on a range of areas from sleep, calm, self-esteem, and more.

Headspace features animations about how the mind works and tips on how to sit quietly and breathe.

Mindful USC and Mindful UCLA apps are FREE and sponsored by the college communities. Mindfulness is the practice of training the mind to be present through moment-to-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, body sensations and environment
